If I were a major league player the following would definitely apply to me given my luck. First off, I’d be a major leaguer by the seat of my pants. I’d have one foot into Triple A Ball at all times and just by sheer luck there would be no one better around to kick me down there. Second, given the reason I just gave for being in the majors my team would not be any good (and therefore I could make the team). However, this would also mean that the All-Star Game would have to pick [click to contimue reading...]

Carlos apparently lost it in the dugout yesterday and has been suspended indefinitely as described in this article. .. Huh.. Not sure but I’ll bet he’s suspended with pay. Man, just imagine if real world jobs were like that. Anyway one of the things I really, truly LOVE is the fact that sweet Lou Piniella said “That’s something that can’t be tolerated. He came in after he got the third out and he started yelling and screaming. It was embarrassing. … There’s no excuse for this, none at all, no excuse whatsoever.” .. This is [click to contimue reading...]

Of all the ways to loose a game this has to be one of the worse. The Nationals fight it out until the 10th, then load the bases and walk in the final run. You know it must have been hard to be a Nationals fan. There you have your paid subscription to MLB.com, staying up, game goes to the 10th and then this happens. It’s kind of sad really and almost hard to make fun of. I don’t know, let’s see how the stats look, maybe this is an aberration (although I know it [click to contimue reading...]

Yeah, yeah they caught Edinson Volquez using steroids and suspended him for 50 games… yeah yeah. … Soooooo they suspended a guy for 50 games he wouldn’t be playing anyway since he’d be recovering from an elbow injury. .. That’s like suspending me from dating Pamela Anderson. Guess what? I wasn’t on the roster anyway. .. who knows why . … But beating your chest yakking about a  50 game suspension does sounds tough, you’ve got to give it that. Anyway I could go into an in depth analysis but if you want to be bored [click to contimue reading...]

You got to hand it to Ubaldo Jimenez, the guy doesn’t choke or at least didn’t choke when he threw a no hitter against he Atlanta Braves last Saturday Night. And that’s something even worse than being the least guy to put the final dominoes down on one of those giant things made up of  like 100,000 dominoes. If you foul up the whole thing comes tumbling down.. doh! So Jimenez is up against guys who are looking to spoil his good time, he’s been pitching for 9 innings and the odds are against him. So here’s the deal. Someone with time on their hands has determined that the Cubbies have the highest price tickets in professional baseball $52.56..and the Boston Red Sox at $52.32 and the New York Yankees at $51.83 aren’t too far behind. You got to be kidding me. But the really big news in all this is that the Cubs are on this hyperinflation mode.. they keep upping the prices and people just keep coming to Wrigley. We’re talking almost double the price since 2006. And you can only imagine what’s happened to concession prices. .. [click to contimue reading...]

The deal on Albert Pujols is that his back is giving him problems. Not the problems of the herniated disc, need to be cut will never be the same again type but problems like his back is spasming and hurts really really bad. In either case, he is sidelined and knowing how he feels because I’ve been there I’m sure it’s painful to even climb out of the dugout never mind swinging at a fastball for all you’ve got. And that’s where the similarities end. Yeah Albert I feel your pain, because I have felt your [click to contimue reading...]
