The Florida Marlins have lost their case in arbitration yesterday. The Marlins were looking to pay Cody $4.2 Million and Cody’s people were going for the $4.45 mil. Cody won and therefore will earn an additional $250,000.

Cody Ross had a good 2009 Season with a .290 average, 90 RBI’s and 24 home runs. For this he was paid $2.3 Million. Now going into 2010 the Marlins have offered him a sizable increase to $4.2 Million. Ross and his people are holding out for $4.45 mil and now both sides are stuck. The arbitration ruling is due out today. Our prediction is that Ross will be denied but in light of recent history with such rulings it could go either way.
